Why Go For Gold
31st May 2016
With the greatly anticipated Sunday Times Awards quickly approaching agencies all across the UK are putting together their submissions with the hope of winning an award to reflect the hard work their teams have put in over the past 12 months. While it’s easy to say that your agency and dedicated staff deserve a gold award for their efforts, often the prospect of demonstrating this in your written submission can be quite challenging.
The question which is often considered to be the most daunting of the submission process is “Why do you feel you should win this award?” It is asked every year and while it can sometimes be difficult to summarise all the work you have done over the previous 12 months, this question offers a great opportunity for agents. This section of the awards submission offers a real opportunity to demonstrate the passion your staff have for their work and their community and provides a really effective way of allowing an agent a moment to stop reflect on this.
Here at Pinnacle, we frequently use social media to help us capture instances of when our staff have really lived up to our company values. From our dedicated company Facebook groups, staff can thank other members of their team for their dedication, teamwork, or for even making a cup of tea! By acknowledging the work of others on a regular basis we find that by the time it comes to explain why we feel are staff deserve a gold award for their efforts we can look back at our timeline and be spoilt for choice. Although it is usually the last question you will be asked knowing exactly why you and your company deserve an award for your efforts is without a doubt the most important aspect of your submission. It is important to occasionally look back at everything your company has accomplished over the previous year and acknowledge all the work which has gone into making your company strive.
Following on from our achievement at the Sunday Times in 2015 this year Pinnacle is remaining true to their name and striving to be named best agency in wales in this year’s Sunday Times Awards. We’ve really enjoyed looking back over the past 12 months and sharing our memories of the fun we’ve had and what we’ve achieved as a team. So whatever the outcome you can look for us on the dance floor, partying like it’s the Oscars.
