LetMC do the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge
27th April 2013
For the second year LetMC and the Pinnacle team will be doing the Welsh 3 peaks Challenge, this year in aid of Cancer Reaserch UK.
Last year the LetMC team helped to raise £2500 for the Anthony Nolan blood cancer charity and this year are set to take on the challenge again. The team are aiming to complete Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan in 12 hours, in preperation for the National 3 Peak Challenge in the Summer.
The National Three Peaks Challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The three peaks are:
- Ben Nevis (1,344 m or 4,409 ft), the highest mountain in Scotland
- Scafell Pike (978 m or 3,209 ft), the highest mountain in England
- Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa (1,085 m or 3,560 ft), the highest mountain in Wales
